Safeguarding - Policy and Practice
Safeguarding is seen as something that is the responsibility of everyone in our school: staff, Governors, volunteers and even the children.
Our staff and governors have been trained on safeguarding in line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education- September 2023 document (please refer below) and have taken part in ‘Prevent’ training.
My Concern
The Wessex Multi Academy Trust (of which Piddle Valley is a member) has invested in a simple to use, safe and secure software system for recording and managing all safeguarding concerns in the school and preschool setting known as My Concern. The system enables all staff, including support staff to share safeguarding information with the safeguarding lead instantly. The overarching purpose is to protect our children and young people from harm.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate in contacting Mrs Vicki Nelson (Designated Safeguarding Lead) or Dr Annetta Minard (Interim HT) who will be able to provide you with support and advice.
